Mr.Lawrence Tsui Principal Lawrence Tsui established the Millennium Secondary School in September 2003 and became the principal of the school. "Adult education, Lifelong learning, and Innovative Teaching" is the belief of Principal Lawrence Tsui. As early as the early 1980s, Principal Lawrence Tsui came to Macau with the most innovative concepts and theories of adult education development in the world. With the experience of working at advisory agency of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and serving as the General Director and committee member of Asian South Pacific Bureau of Adult Education, Principal Tsui have far early understand that "lifelong learning" is an important part of human life. Principal Tsui, who adheres to this conviction, understands that he has a long way to go. He has been working hard to promote the concepts of "adult education" and "lifelong learning" since the 1980s. Therefore, Principal Tsui believes that the teaching philosophy of Millennium Secondary School should be teaching the "knowledge" of this era with pertinence, professionalism, life, interest, and international perspective. He wants to make students of this generation not only believe in "lifelong learning" but also "learning how to learn." |

1971 Graduated from Hong Kong Salesian English School 1976 Obtained the Bachelor Degree of Social Science from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (major in social work) 1976-1981 Worked as Social Work Officer, Director of Night School and Acting Principal of Hong Kong Christian Service Kwun Tong Vocational Training Centre. 1981-1984 Dean of the Faculty of Advancing Studies in University of East Asia, Macau (predecessor of the University of Macau) From 1984 to 1985, the first Chinese to be selected by the Macao government to study in Portugal and return to Macau as an official. 1985-1990 Served as the Officials of the Social Affairs Division of the Macao Government and as the Liaison Officer for China Affairs of the ASPBAE voluntarily. In 1987, one of the 49 celebrities from Macau were invited to attend the "Sino-Portuguese Joint Declaration Signing Ceremony" held in Beijing, and was received by President Li Xiannian. 1988 Completed the Diploma of the University of New England, Australia (majoring in continuing education) 1988 Macao Special Administrative Region Basic Law Advisory Committee 1988-2002 Standing Committee Member of the Macau Government Education Committee 1990-1999 General Director and committee member of Asian South Pacific Bureau of Adult Education (ASPBAE, Level B Consultant Agency of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization From 1990 to 1999, Principal Tsui served as an international director of the International Association for Adult Education (ICAE, Level A Consultant Agency of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) 1993 Completed the MA in the University of Hull (major in adult education and training) 1993 East Asian Adult Education Forum (EAFAE) was established and Principal Tsui became the Vice President (Macau) 1999-2002 served as the principal of a night school and a day school in Macau which an award was presented by the Macau government for a new teaching method In 1999, the East Asian Adult Education Forum (EAFAE) was officially registered as an association and served as executive vice president. In 1999, he was invited to participate in the "Macau Education Sector High-Level People Visiting Beijing Group" and was received by Vice Premier Qian Qichen. From 2003 Founder Principal of Millennium Secondary School 2009-2013 President of the East Asian Adult Education Forum (EAFAE) President of the Macau Adult Education Association In 2015, Principal Lawrence Tsui was awarded the Hall of Fame of International Adult and Continuing Education and he is the third Chinese in history awarded this honor. In 2015, Principal Lawrence Tsui has been elected as the founding chairman of the Macau Chinese Alumni Association of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Since 2017, Principal Lawrence Tsui has become Vice President of the Ze Ai Charity Association Since 2019, Principal Lawrence Tsui has become the Board Director of Macao Social Services Centre.
